Opportunities to Train in Clinical Research

Fellows at the University of Florida have the opportunity to obtain formal didactic training in clinical research skills through UF’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). With the support of NIH-funded CTSI, Dr. Ronald Shorr directs the Advanced Post-Graduate Program for Clinical Investigation (APPCI), through which trainee fellows and junior faculty members from any of the UF Health Science Center colleges can obtain a certificate or a master’s degree in clinical investigation. The program covers the cost of tuition. Many of the APPCI graduates have come from the UF Pediatrics Department. This program is restricted to US citizens and permanent residents.
